Lovesac or Love Sack, which is it? Lovesac use to be the name of a company that sold giant foam filled bean bag chairs. The were brilliant in the their marketing and soon made the world aware of a better bean bag chairs, a foam bag chair.

Lovesac, however, grew fast, branched out, and eventually got into debt and therefore filed bankruptcy. Lovesac's followers and knock offs, however, remained in business. Love sacs original owner then teamed up with new investors and formed a new company called Lovesac alternative furniture - although the "e" in the word Lovesac is backwards, which they probably had to do in order to be different enough from their original name.

The popular Lovesac brand still exists, as do many other popular brands and generic knock offs. Lovesac did such a great job at marketing, that now giant foam bean bag chairs are simply called Love Sacks. What is a FOAM SACK? A foam sack is a sack of foam.

...Ya Ya I get the FOAM part of it, but what about the SACK!?!

OK - a BEAN BAG is a bag of beans or a bag filled with beans that aren't really beans but more like Styrofoam BEADS that put into a bag that is used as a chair. A BEAN BAG is also know as a Bean Bag Chair.

So, a FOAM SACK is a sack of foam that isn't just a block of foam but shredded foam that is put into a sack or bag which is then used as a chair. A FOAM SACK is also known as a Foam filled giant bean bag chair. Most people call these Love Sacks. They are called Lovesacks because a company called Lovesac put their name on a foam sack as being the "inventory" and called the foam sack a Lovesac. That company then got into financial trouble, filed bankruptcy, cut their losses and then reformed the company under a new name with investors. Companies were hurt by these actions, but hey - its the American corporate way.
